NITROGEN FOR
SAMPLE PREPARATION /
EVAPORATORS
What is sample evaporation?
In analytical or life science laboratories, the removal of solvents by evaporation is an essential step in sample preparation prior to chromatographic analysis. Solvents can be evaporated using various methods. Blow-off evaporation using nitrogen is one of the most common evaporation techniques.
Chromalytic nitrogen generators support all evaporators of the best known brands such as Biotage, Thermo Fisher Scientific, GERSTEL, Organomation and many more.
How does the process work?
The principle is based on passing gas through a variable flow regulator and a heating element in the vaporizer. The hot nitrogen then flows out of needles located above the sample tube or sample plate and continuously blows hot air over the surface of the solvent. This causes the solvent to evaporate quickly and gently. Ideal when a large number of samples need to be analyzed.
The evaporator requires a nitrogen supply for operation. Chromalytic gas generators provide a continuous source of nitrogen - ideal for sample preparation.
A very large amount of nitrogen is required for sample vaporization.
In times of high costs for bottled gas, our Chromalytic gas generators offer a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional gas cylinders and ensure a continuous supply of nitrogen generated on site at all times. You can also avoid the handling and costs of ordering, storing and maintaining gas cylinders.
